Danny at the M&G

Danny did well at the Meet & Greet this weekend. He wore the donations jacket for about an hour and raised $5 whole dollars! LOL Our boy "Joe" went with him to keep him company :)

Meet & Greet Sept. 10th

Danny will be at the Meet & Greet on Saturday September 10th. He is really looking forward to it :)

Danny will also be at the September 18th Annual Fall Picnic, with bells on! :)

Danny has had a few people interested in him, but he is a "nibbler", which to some, is an unpleasant behavior. It is a sign of affection & grooming to a dog, but for small children, it can "look" like biting. He tends to do this to our stomachs when he is excited & feeling playful. So, if the idea of having a "nibbler" is not attractive, Danny is probably not the dog for your home. He is also quite the talker, and often enjoys talking to my husband and I. I am hoping to get video of this, as we think it is hilarious. LOL

Welcome to Camp Meyer

Danny arrived at "Camp Meyer" on Friday, June 24th. He was about 10 pounds underweight, and needed to gain weight pronto. He has happily been eating and exercising to get some weight back on.

Danny is really- a GREAT dog. If we didn't have 4 retired racers ourselves, we would LOVE to keep Danny. He is surprisingly energetic for being a 10 year old hound. He loves to run and run around our yard with our 3 year old hounds. :) He thinks he's pretty tough & almost every time we let him out into the yard he barks at invisible prey! It is pretty hilarious. LOL

He never gives our kitties a second glance as they seem to be invisible to him. He loves to snuggle and dive his head into your lap. :) He has no issues with his kennel and goes right in without even a command.

I'm hoping to take some videos of Danny playing and interacting with our greys. He is such a special guy, & now that he has his health clearance, I will be sure to post when and where Danny will be at the Meet & Greets for future adopters to come and meet him face to face! :)
